French–Swedish conference in Paris

Cibes Lift AB participated in a French – Swedish conference on technical support to people with disabilities on Monday the 24^th of November in Paris. The conference was arranged by The Embassy of Sweden and Swedish Trade Council in France. Members from organizations for handicapped people in Sweden and France participated and shared their views of the situation in their countries. Some companies supplying products for disabled persons were represented, among them Cibes Lift AB. Mr. Ulf W Thorn, Marketing Director at Cibes Lift AB, held an interesting presentation on platform lifts.

In the opening speech the ambassador of Sweden, Mr. Frank Belfrage stated that the situation for handicapped people has to be improved in France. He also said that the president of France is supporting the disabled persons and he has suggested a new law. The law will come in force in 2004 and will help up the situation for disabled.
